Roller-bear-al
Starting a bait? Want to keep them around without having to be there all the time? Probably the easiest and cheapest way to keeping bear on your property without having to check your baits daily. Bears love to eat. That’s all they do and the more you provided for them the more they will eat.Running to and from your bait can be a very costly thing. Not only fuel costs and time but the amount of bait you go through is crazy. You could be putting out as much as 25 lbs for your bears depending on how hard they are hit. Its exciting to go see that a bear hit your bait but you could make him nocturnal at the same time. I came up with an idea after a few years of baiting and it turned out to be an awesome hit. Read below about the Roller Bear-al and how it works.

They’ll roll that barrel all day long until they get that last kibble.
Here are a couple tips.
If you can’t find Black Bear Munchies in your area dog food, cat food or popcorn works OK. Rolling the Bear-al around creates a lot of noise and will attract other bears in the area. The Roller Bear-al does not fill the bear up, therefore keeps him around for a much longer time. The Roller Bear-al also keeps the little critters out, like COONS! Keep your Bear-al on a relatively flat surface with not a whole lot of trees in the way to get caught on. This way of baiting will allow you to stay out of the bush and not spread your scent. The Roller Bear-al allows you to have more shot opurtunity at the bear. Be patient. He’ll turn broadside soon.
Another cool way of positioning your bears this fall for an archery hunt.
Cribbing
For all you bow hunters out there. If you want to kill a bear and want to put him in the right spot without having to wait all day for it then set yourself up a Crib this fall and get the shot over with when the bear comes in.
Here is how its done!!!
Before heading out to the location find yourself two old tires. Preferable 1-truck tire without a rim and 1-car tire that has a rim.
Take the top of a 55 gal drum and bolt it to the truck tire. Two bolts work fine. You may have to grind the top of one off or use a recipricating saw and cut it off. This will keep little critter out while the tire is laying on the ground.

15 yards behind this photo is where I hung my climber stand and shot a bear with my bow last year. The bear came in on the tire and presented a perfect shot angle for a bow using this method.
When you get there, stuff the inside of the tire full of bread, buns and pastries with mollases on it. This will make the bears work for it. After you do that throw the tire with a rim on top of it and then throw a heavy rock on it. It makes a dinner bell sound that the bears will get use to hearing and know whats going on. This will keep the critters out of it and a bear is the only creature that can get in on the morsels.
Do this once a week. Bait the day before you hunt and don’t forget to add some of our Splash Attractant around the crib before you get into your tree stand.
This will peak the curiousity and bring them in early before sun down.
